To Redefine Church - as a Contemporary Christ Centered community committed to reach the lost and our City community with the life Changing Gospel in creative and relevant ways and to live out the sharing our lives with one another enjoying Caring community and authentic relationships.
We plan to accomplish this through:
1. MISSION
The word mission means “sent” or to have a purpose. Every Christian is called to be a missionary where they live right in his or her own community, workplace, family etc.Our vision is to communicate in inspiring and creative ways the life-changing message of Jesus in the City of Dublin.
While the Bible was written thousands of years ago it holds timeless truth still containing the power to transform peoples lives today in remarkable ways. The Bible is full of both spiritual and practical principles that affect every aspect of daily life.
The Bible clearly points to our vital need for a personal relationship and daily experience with God.
2. TEACHING AND TRAINING FOR LIFE DEVELOPMENT
Our vision is to see people maturing, growing stronger in their faith and enjoying the life that God has for them to the full. We do this by studying applied faith principles contained in the truth of the Bible.Jesus said… “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10). Here are some of ways we do this:In our main Sunday meetings we aim to teach the principles of the Bible in an inspiring and practical way so that people can apply the truths to their everyday lives.
Destiny church life stage development course is designed Because people are different and grow at a different pace, this practical four part course is designed to be help each individual as they grow through each stage in their faith and experience-supporting them from the very basics to fulfilling their life purpose as God intends for each person
Leadership training events - Every month we run leadership training events in Dublin to help train, support and equip our leaders.
3. PRACTICAL SERVICE AND CARE
Our vision is to see a significant Church emerge in Dublin that will have a positive Christian influence in society; tackle real life issues and practically meets the needs of people. People don’t just need a home in the future in heaven but a hope for their life tomorrow.4. GENUINE INTERPERSONAL CARING AND FRIENDSHIP
Destiny Church welcomes people of all ages, backgrounds, social classes and cultures.We believe that the Christian message is relevant for everyone. Jesus placed great importance not only on our relationship with God but also on our relationships with one other.
As a Church we encourage and foster friendships by Sunday meals, social events and our network of home groups. Our home groups are informal gatherings in people’s homes around the city to enjoy a cup of coffee, time together some bible discussion and prayer.
5. INTIMACY WITH GOD
Our vision is to promote intimacy with God through worship and prayer. Whatever is central to us becomes the guiding principle in our life, by cultivating hounouring and reverence for God we give him his rightful place in our lives resulting in and contentment and a peaceful confidence toward the future. We desire to glorify God and make His name famous in Dublin. In our meetings we experience inspiring times of heartfelt worship in Gods presence.
